			Hello and welcome to the coverage of the ICC World Twenty20 South Africa 2007 match number seventeen and it is the fifth match of the second stage - the Super Eights - between England and New Zealand in Group F. The match is the opening fixture and it comes from the Newlands in Durban.
			England could be faced with an early exit if they do not up their game today while New Zealand could virtually book their place in the last four with a win. And all that despite their skipper Daniel Vettori giving the tournament a resounding thumbs down as a spectacle. But they have looked the part so far with some big hitting and competent bowling in their games so far.
			Their opponents, on the other hand, are faced with a tricky selection dilemma in so much as who to pick and the might be forced in fielding a replacement wicket-keeper after Matthew Prior was injured - by his coach - in the nets yesterday so Vikram Solanki, an accomplished batsman, might be forced to take up the gloves too. The selection of Solanki might also balance out the team as their side of 'Twenty20 specialists' have come up horrendously short against the top class international players.
			This is the fifth game in the Super Eights stage of the tournament and only four teams of the eight through will progress to the semi-finals. Who will make it is anyone guess! Sri Lanka were edging to become favourites but their defeat to Pakistan has opened up the tournament. Australia are finding form, Pakistan are looking good as are New Zealand.
			This is the 35th Twenty20 International match to be played world-wide. England have got a fairly miserable record in the game they invented, winning just three of nine game while New Zealand have won four, lost three and had a tie that they won on a bowl-out.
			The highest ever total, not only in Twenty20 Internationals but also anywhere in the world in this form of the game is Sri Lanka's 260-6 made against Kenya a couple of days ago while the lowest score, sadly for the men in green, is also held by the Kenyans, who were knocked over by New Zealand for just 73, having recovered from being 0-3 and 1-4!
			Chris Gayle became the first player to hit a Twenty20 International century in the opening game (117), overtaking Ricky Ponting's 98* at Auckland. Mark Gillespie now takes the mantle of having the best bowling analysis in a Twenty20 international having taken 4-7 in that game against Kenya.
			Simon Taufel and Steve Davis are the on-field umpires with Billy Doctrove the third umpire and Brian Jerling the fourth. Mike Procter is the match referee.
